Hi all,
We have two Varian 600 Unity INOVA NMR spectrometers. One host
computers
is Sun Ultra-10 (Solaris 2.6 and vnmr 6.1A). The other computer is Sun
Ultra-I(Solaris 2.5.1
and vnmr 6.1A).
Last sunday, my Ultra-10 was locked and users could not login at the
terminal although
remote login is OK. I contacted Varian and I was told that I need some
patches for Solaris 2.6 and
the easy way is to upgrade my system to Solaris 7 and VNMR 6.1B.
Today, my Ultra-I is locked up also. Users can login remotely, but
they can not login
at the terminal. Reboot the computer does not help.
Can somebody give me a clue what is going on? Is this a hacker
related problem?

Your input is highly appreciated.
