Composite Pulse Deuterium Decoupling

We have a problem in running watergate tocsy spectra. On some samples we have
a strong spin-echo from water which overflows the ADC about 50 ms into the FID
at any reasonable gain level. The watergate parameters give fine suppression
in simple 1-d spectra, but 1-d's run with the watergate tocsy give the spin
echo. We have an INOVA-500 with z-gradients and are running the wgtocsyz
sequence with dipsi spinlock and watergate suppression.

1) Has this happened to anyone else out there?
2) Why is it happening?
3) What do we do to fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
