SENIOR RESEARCH CHEMIST, SPECTROSCOPY
Position Responsibilities:
Provide structural, analytical and general problem solving support for
discovery and chemical development projects including applications
support, structural elucidation, spectral interpretation, and NMR and
mass spectrometric methods development. The incumbent will oversee the
NMR (Brucker AMX 300 MHz (2) and 500 MHz) and mass spectroscopic
facility (GC/MS and LC/MS/MS) including spectrometer hardware and
software administration. Demonstrated experience with modern pulse
sequences and a strong desire to implement new methods is a must.
Molecular modeling exposure is a plus. The incumbent is expected to
supervise 1-2 technicians and provide significant contributions to the
problems assigned, as well as demonstrate an ability to independently
solve problems.
Position Requirements:
Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related field, or equivalent industrial
experience. Must have a strong working knowledge of modern
spectroscopic techniques and familiarity with chromatographic
techniques.
