Spinlanders:
With their mention in the recent discussion of cryogen level
sensors, I am curious to know more about the acoustic or
thermoacoustic oscillations that several people have mentioned.
Can someone provide a brief overview of the phenomenon? My
questions include-

What is it?
How do you get it?
How do you know you have it?
How do you cure it?
Will it affect your spectra (before the magnet quenches ;-) !)?
Could I have had it and never known?

Thanks in advance,
Steve
