Hi All,
I have an old Varian E-109 EPR spectrometer that I have to move out of
my lab and ship to a new home. The problem is I have few options about moving
it out of my lab. The epr magnet is 2 ft wide and is sitting on a skid 3 ft
wide. The only door that I can take this out requires me to move the magnet
past my Oxford 400mHz magnet. The space between a wall and the magnet is only
6 1/2 ft wide. As you can imagine I am very reluctant in moving the epr magnet
past the oxford supercon. The other option is to remove the magnet of of it's
skid and sqeeze it through another door. I am leaning towards this option.
The last option is tearing down a wall. This last option is not satisfactory.
Anybody out there tha has experience in moving electromagnets? Plaease e-mail
directly.
