Dear Jessica,
Helium cryoprobes do not use liquid helium at all. They work with a closed
loop helium compressor and cooling system. You will need high purity ( 6 nines)
Helium gas for installation and operation. Consumption depends on how often
you remove and reinstall the probe. The recurring cost with a cryoprobe is
the periodic maintenance of the coldhead.

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of determining the most appropriate cryoprobe to purchase
and one of the major driving forces is that of the operation/upkeep costs. I
have a handful of biochemical users, as well as other advanced organic users,
that would greatly benefit from a LHe cryoprobe and personally that is my preference.

silly question).
