Hello All,

I am getting an error on the SCB-M (SCB-13M 16bit) on the BSMS/2 unit of our Avance I 500. BOSS-2 shim system.

I have looked at the back and all of the LEDs on the back are lit, so it does not seem to be a fuse/power issue.

When I enter the BSMS tool I get the following error:

        ERROR: T011 from SCB_:
SCB boots only from the Boot EPROM, there is no application
software in the Flash-EPROM. The error may be corrected by
loading SCB-software (see board functions SCB, Point:Download and Help
        in the BSMS service tool).

When I check the downloads (either ‘bsms download’ in a terminal or oprtion 2 in bsms too main menul) I get the following:

D O W N L O A D - R E P O R T

            SCB-L is up to date
            SCB-M needs autodownload (ROM_ERROR)
            SCB-R is up to date
             Lock is up to date
             SLCB is up to date
              CPU is up to date

It finds that SCB-M is missing software and attempts to then install the file (scbaf.hex). I have also tried to install the file manually via the menu item specific to this board. In all cases install of scab.hex fails at the same point:

        “Programming Record: 43 of 1966”.

It then spits out the following errors:

        ERROR 0031 from TOOL:
Communication protocol error (return message OK was failed)

        ERROR: T011 from SCB_:
SCB boots only from the Boot EPROM, there is no application
software in the Flash-EPROM. The error may be corrected by
loading SCB-software (see board functions SCB, Point:Download and Help
        in the BSMS service tool).

Has anyone experienced this or similar and found a solution other than replacing the board completely?

I am still waiting to find out if Bruker has this board in stock. Is there anybody who might have a spare in their lab?

BSMS/2 SCB13M-16BIT Z003871

Thank you,

Pedro
