Subject: overdrive light on amplifier
We have a Varian UnityPlus with a 1kW decoupler amplifier (1H 400
MHz). When the console and amps are powered on, a red "overdrive"
error is illuminated on the solids status panel at the top front of
the solids bay. Does anyone have insight into the cause of the error?
The solution? We are unable to clear the error with the "overdrive
reset" button. FYI, this is a Varian/CPI tube amplifier. The
overdrive light is on even when we are not pulsing. Thank you for your
help.
