AMMRL: Magnet crates

Hi everyone,

Whenever we receive a new magnet it always seems to be too cumbersome
and inconvenient to store the original crate. How many people
actually use them again?

We now see more and more some larger facilities wish to upgrade their
systems and they offer up their still adequately functioning older
system to smaller facilities or institutions. The crates of course
for these older systems are most likely long gone. Now I find myself
in the same predicament. I need a crate for a 300MHz Oxford wide
bore. I've seen a couple of requests for crates and am wondering if
people actually found any.

We have a crate for an Oxford 600MHz and I'm thinking about designing
blueprints to provide for my shop guys. Could the magnet suppliers
provide a plan? I imagine if I adjust for the height and diameter the
plans would be good for almost any magnet.

Will keep you updated and post any summary.
