Good morning Friends
Ours is a plant based institution and mostly plant secondary motabolites are submitted to the NMR facility. We have a Bruker Avance 300 machine loaded with Windows based XWINNMR 3.0 software and equipped with an inverse type (BBI) dual probe and z gradients. Recently one of my collegues requested me to find out whether nitrogen atom is present in his sample or not (sample quantity 25mg, purity about 90%). But, sofar, I was running only 1H and 13C experiments on this machine and hence not much aware of the possibilities of getting nitrogen (15N) resonances on my machine with inverse probe at its natural abundance. My query to AMMRL: 1. Are there any pulse programmes (either in case of protonated nitrogen or tertiary nitrogen) to enhance the sensitity and track 15N at natural abundance. Is this experiment possible on my machine conditions? Any other useful comments will be greately apprecieated.
Thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely
