Ionic liquids anyone?

Hi gang,

I'm about to start some work with ionic liquids, and have had no
experience whatsoever with them. My plan is to use an external lock
with D2O (a 5 mm tube with coaxial insert), and to hope for decent
lineshape. Just got the stuff today, and it is thick as molasas
(litteraly). I wonder a) How I'm gonna get it into a 5 mm tube, and b)
I suspect that it will be like shimming on a rusty nail...

Any suggestions welcomed!

Guillermo
