Dear all,

We are having a magnet (shielded 500M standard bore) replaced by the vendor. The new replacement magnet queched four times in factory during testing phase, and now we already have two queches today before the magnet reaches its field. Although I was told by the engineer that it is normal and nothing to worry about, I am not sure about the long term stability of this magnet. Do I need to concern or this is very typical for a magnet? Will a magnet quenching frequently in installation phase have a higher chance of quenching AT FIELD in the future or there are no relations at all?

You experience will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,

Wei Li
