I recently asked about artifacts in the C-13 spectrum. After trying a
number of suggestions, I found that setting dp='n' (double precision) was
apparently causing the artifacts. Gain set to 56 probably was the cause
behind this. Lowered the gain and saw diminished artifacts, but setting
dp='y' completely removes the artifacts.
Got another question for you. Under Solaris 2.5.1, and VNMR 6.1, I find
that I lose temperature control after a long term (>2 hour) experiment
(regardless of nuclei). If the experiment goes for that period of time, a
good example being an overnight run, the temperature is no longer regulated
AFTER THE RUN, temperature is maintained during the run. Typically we run
at temp=30. After losing control of temperature, if I set temp=20 or
temp=35, then type su, temperature control is regained. Typing temp=30 then
su does not return temperature control. Experiments less than 2 hours do
not exhibit this behavior.
The spectrometer Unity+, single broadband. Any helpful hints would be
