Hello Everyone,
First I would like to thank Tom Dickinson, William Hiscox, and Vander Velde
David for offering the spare parts and their assistant in troubleshooting
STM/Output boards. It is good to know that there are spare parts out there
given the MERCURY system is so old. Some faculty aren't willing to let go
of old system, so they are happy that it all worked out. To recap the issue,
there was a red solid light on STM/Output boards CTC. No lock signal,
no lock scan signal, can't find Z0. While I was talking with Tom, I moved
the console toward me and touched the ribbon connecting STM/Output and 16-BIT
ADC, the solid red light disappeared. I noticed the screws on the STM/Output
board were also loose. So, I tightened everything and restarted the console.
Everything works well now. The boards needed some human touch that's all.
I want to thank Tom and those of you who have offered to help.
Stay safe.
Best regards,
Hla Win-Piazza, Ph.D.
