Hello AMMRL community! I hope everyone is safe and well and staying busy
during the pandemic.
I would like to know your experience with regards to the Burker
Prodigy probe series. Specifically relating to any issues with probe
arcing due to small vacuum leaks in the probe. This is most commonly
exhibited by receiver gain overflows during HSQC experiments.
We have had issues with this for years but I have not had the time to dig
deep and track this down until the pandemic. Apparently, earlier prodigy
models were prone to vacuum leaks in the probe resulting in arcing
especially in experiments with decoupling.
I would like to know how prevalent this issue is. We are in the market for
another Prodigy unit and I would like to ensure this issue is resolved. I
would also like some ammunition before Bruker socks me with a massive
repair bill. I've heard these repairs can take an exceptionally long time
requiring a visit to the spa (France).
