Dear AMMRL Community,
We will soon be considering whether to "Frankenstein" a Varian/Oxford AS 400MHz magnet with Bruker console/probe upgrades. I am wondering if anybody out there who has undergone this operation can share with me your experience. Any surprises or things you would have done differently? Do you still have a contract covering the magnet to best effort in the event of a quench? Any issues with automation?
