AMMRL: low gamma kit

Hello everyone,

We have a 10mm Varian broadband probe that came with a low gamma accessory that should allow us to run NMR experiments of low frequency nuclei, such as 14N and 109Ag.

I have followed all the instructions to assemble the capacitor stick and the low gamma box. When I tried tunning either 14N and 109Ag, I get the deflection close but not at the frequency necessary, turning the tune and match knobs move this deflection but I have not had it at the correct value.

The low gamma box has a set of switches that I also have placed in the appropriate “open” or “close” positions.
I know the probe can run other nuclei such as 13C, 31P, using capacitor sticks.

Does anyone have experience with these accessories? Am I missing something?

I appreciate the help.

Leila
