Dear All,
Thanks you for all your enquiries wrt our DSX300 NMR spectrometer. A few
things to clear up if I may for those who are interested in acquiring
it:
The instrument is available for effectively no cost. The only cost that
any interested party will incur is the decommissioning (warming up of
the magnet), packaging and shipping. Because we do not want this
instrument my company will not pay for any of this.
Our site is due to be vacated sometime in July (maybe later), so any
party who has the capability to arrange for the acquisition of the
instrument should try and do so before this date. If anyone wishes to
travel and see the instrument you are more than welcome to do so.
Preferably we wish to move on the instrument as a job lot, not small
components. Most of the kit is in excellent working order but there is
superficial wear and tear to the equipment - as you'd expect to get over
the years.
Our company, Intertek, is based in the Northwest of England (at
Unilever's Port Sunlight research site) for those who were not sure
where the instrument was based. The exact location is given in my
signature below.
I am leaving the company in exactly two weeks so this will be taken out
of my hands. Therefore, I'd ask all those people who have a definite
interest and who can incur the decommissioning/shipping costs to contact
myself but also Colin Whittaker (colin.whittaker_at_intertek.com) who is
our laboratory manager. I am still in the field of NMR so will pick up
AMMRL emails but Colin will not so please direct emails to his email
address.

We have a Bruker DSX300 NMR spectrometer that will be decommissioned
unless it finds a new home. The NMR laboratory the instrument is
situated in is relocating and there is no place for the instrument. Any
