Dear Friends
In a continuation of sorts with the story about my 750 magnet and
its fabled woes (at least in and around my neighborhood) about the
lineshape drift and boiloff problems, I am requesting the following
information from anyone in our group, who can provide it.
Does anyone of you handle a high field magnet i.e. 700 MHz or above
that was made ca. 1992 to 1994 ? If so, can you give a gist about such a
magnet system : (1) manufacturer (2) He boil off rate (or) Helium fill
periodicity (3) amount of Helium consumed during each fill (4) quality
of lineshape stability (5) how eas y it is to shim your magnet.
If the community is interested, I will sure be happy to summarize
the responses (assuming that I will get a few at least).
Best Wishes and thank you as always
Rajan
