Gee, why does this have to happened on a Friday afternoon!
I'm wondering if my disk has crashed on my Ultra5 running solaris 2.6. The computer hung hard while a user was working with the file manager, and upon rebooting I get a fleeting message with a warning, and what looks maybe like a device listing, and a block number and finally "uncorrectable data error" on the last line, just before the screen goes black and the system reboots. I can stop-A before the error messages appear, and get to an "ok", but don't know what I can do at this point. I tried to 'stop-A' during the error message in an effort to leave it on the screen to see what it says, but can't stop it at that point. I can boot off the solaris cdrom, however don't know if there's anything I can do there besides an installation.
Any suggestions how to diagnose what's up?
Thanks in advance for your help!
