AMMRL: R2D2 shims an Inova Console

Hi All,

We are currently trying to connect some disparate bits of "left-over"
kit together to perform a specific experiment and have hit a major
problem. We have a Varian Inova-300 console which is normally connected
to an Oxford wide-bore magnet. We also have a 300MHz Varian "R2D2"
magnet with an associated MAS-nano probe which we would like to use for
a particular experiment. So the obvious thing would seem to be to
connect the two up. The problem is that the 18-channel shim controller
on the Inova console does not map onto the 13(?) or 14(?) channel shim
stack in the R2D2 magnet. This is not just a question of cables and
connectors, the way the shims are generated is completely different and
non-compatible.

So my question is does anybody have (lurking in the back of a cupboard),
either an Oxford style shim stack for an R2D2 magnet (number of shims is
not terribly important, but it needs to be the right length), or a
14-channel shim supply from an Inova console (they did make them but my
guess is they are few and far between). If anybody has either of the
above they would be prepared to donate or loan for a few months I would
be happy to pay for shipping.

Regards,
