This has been the subject of much discussion between me and two other
managers, one in Chicago and one in PA. Our usage rate has dropped
precipitously over the last few years. Some days, I have no research
users at all, so I'm trying to do more and more teaching with
spectrometer hours.
Too many faculty chasing too few grant dollars?
