Colleagues,
We are setting up some variable temperature experiments, and we're
trying to determine a reasonable temp range. We have a Bruker AVANCE
400 MHz system, for which support advice from Bruker indicates:
"The operating temperature range for both probes should be -150 to
180 C."
"However, there are other limiting factors. The maximum temperature f
the shim system is 80 C."
"The allowed temperature range for where the magnet bore tube meets
the magnet flange is 0 to 50 C. With that said you can purchase
special rings that attach to the magnet flanges that allow you to
flow cooling /warming air between the shim system and bore tube."
We could play it safe and only use the 0 to 50 C range, but we would
like to do some higher temp expts (60 C), as well as low temp
acquisitions.
Can you all share recommended ranges that you've used with standard
equipment? I'll post a summary.
Thanks for any help.
