Does anyone else have a FTS unit from Varian exhibiting the following
behavior, One of our units has the heat light on the temperature controller
(top unit) blinking periodically but the cool light on the temperature
controller stays off. I only see the cool light come on when the unit is
first turned on or if I move the set point to a lower temperature. This
behavior differs from our other four units which all have the cool and
heat lights on constantly. The parameters appear to be set the same on
all of these units and they are maintaining the same temperatures. The
unit which doesn't show the cool light in normal operation does seem
to deviate a little more in temperature on the lower side +0.1/-0.2C
instead of +/- 0.1C on the other units.
I've called FTS and they said that normal operation should have the
heat and cool lights on constantly. However they seem puzzled by the
behavior I am seeing and couldn't associate it with a specific failure
mode. Has anyone else seen this problem?
