We have started advertising a postdoc position in our NMR lab for someone
with protein experience. A full position description can be found at
http://www.msg.ku.edu/~msg/postdoc-pa.html, with links to more information
about the lab, the NIH COBRE program on protein structure and function
which is funding this position, and our other service facilities.
Expanding a little on what's in the ad, this person would be working with
a Bruker Avance 800 and Varian Inova 600; both have cryoprobes. By the
start date, we will have relocated the 600 to a new and quite nice
building, the Multidisciplinary Research Center, 100 yards away from the
building housing the 800, on KU's west campus. There is an enclosed
office for the postdoc adjacent to the 600.
I will be at ENC and both Varian and Bruker users meetings prior
to it, and happy to discuss the position with potential candidates.
If you would bring this position to the attention of late-stage
graduate students (particularly if you think they would be well suited for
working in a core lab), I'd be grateful. Dave Vander Velde, University of
Kansas
