NMR Folks,
We are planning a complete building renovation including
modification of the 30' x 32' room which houses our Unity Plus 400. We are
also planning for a shielded 600. We can separate the spectrometers 16 ft.
on centers but we will need a pit for the 600 due to our 9 ft.
ceiling. Moreover, we need to keep the 400 going throughout as much of the
renovation as we can.
Will sawing completely through the concrete in the shape of the
pit followed by jack hammers on the separated chunk risk damage to the 400
which would be sitting perhaps 13 ft. away (assuming we can keep it
clean)? The 400 has no anti-vibration dampening.
A site visit from the vendor will be obtained later but we need
some info now for planning.
Thanks for your input
