Position Available: Analytical NMR Chemist

Lyondell is seeking an NMR Chemist to join the corporate analytical group. The
incumbent will utilize NMR spectroscopy to solve problems related to fundamental
catalyst research, new product development, manufacturing and customer support
for all aspects of the Lyondell enterprise. In addition to a strong background
in NMR spectroscopy, the position requires a good working knowledge of organic
chemistry to facilitate detailed spectral interpretation and analytical problem
solving. Knowledge of other analytical and spectroscopic techniques
(particularly vibrational spectroscopy) is desirable. Strong written and oral
communication skills are required for effective communication with internal and
external analytical customers and documentation of results. The applicant
should have a Ph.D. degree with 0-3 years of relevant experience.
The position is located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania (suburban Philadelphia
area) but will be relocating to Houston in the next 3-5 years.
