=========================================================================== AMMRL MINI-FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) =========================================== This message will be posted periodically to AMMRL members Please send any comments/suggestions to: Richard.Shoemaker@Colorado.edu About AMMRL Email: ================== This mailing list is for managers of NMR facilities. Mail is distributed "as is", no editing is done. I do moderate the E-Mail traffic to the list to filter out SPAM; however, I do not edit any legitimate posts for content. Send mail to "ammrl@ mmrl.org" to post a message to the group. AMMRL Etiquette: ================== This list exists to facilitate communications between those charged with managing (or directing) magnetic resonance facilities. Any postings which could be construed as advertising are strongly discouraged. To minimize E-Mail traffic, we have historically adopted the following procedure for helping each other with answers to questions: 1) If a member has a question/comment, check the web-archives first to see if this subject has already been discussed. 2) A member posts a question/comment to the list. 3) Those who feel they have helpful information reply TO the ORIGINAL POSTER 4) After evaluating the information received, the ORIGINAL POSTER posts a summary to the list. Once posted, this summary becomes part of the permanent archive, and can be accessed by everyone via the web. FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions): ================================= As of this moment, we do not maintain a regular FAQ file. However, if you have a question about something that might have been asked before, SEARCH the web-archives at: http://chemnmr.colorado.edu/ammrl/archives. The search engine is fairly straightforward, and you can discover many topics that have already been discussed ...sometimes...a lot! Requests: ========= Please, do NOT send any requests to ammrl@ammrl.org Additions to the List (new members): ==================================== Follow the instructions on the main page (http://www.ammrl.org) to apply for membership. Current policy is to limit membership to two individuals per facility. One member per company for "vendors" in the magnetic resonance field. Email Address Changes or Removals: ==================================== Please send a message to: walt@hawaii.edu IF YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS changes, or if you wish to be removed from the list. If mail cannot be delivered to the address you submitted, that address will be removed from the mailing list. If you suspect a problem, (i.e., no mail for several weeks), please let me know. Just check the Web-Archives of the AMMRL E-Mail at: http://www.ammrl.org/archives. If you see lots of messages that you didn't receive, then there might be a problem. =========================================================================== AMMRL Internet Resources ======================== Web: ---- Ben Bangerter maintains a Web Server for AMMRL. Use the following URL: "http://www.chem.yale.edu/~bangertr/ammrl/ammrl.html" AMMRL Mail Archives since AMMRL began in 1993 is archived in HTML format. The archive is updated twice daily with current E-Mail. URL: http://www.ammrl.org/archives/ NOTE: This is a SEARCHABLE ARCHIVE, so this is a good place to start before posting a question that may already have been adressed. ------------- -------------
