AMMRL: Varian Mercury error code

Colleagues:
	This is a question I'm hoping someone can answer.  Today on our Mercury 300 
(VNMR 6.1C) the following error message appeared during autoshimming:

Acquisition error:  error code 98

I was able to clear it by re-booting the console (i.e. big red button).  I was 
wondering what that error code means, since it isn't listed in the 
command/parameter reference.
